- I am horrible at painting (ok, so I am not as bad as the person who painted my bedroom BEFORE me, but wow - I am pretty bad!)
- I really, really, REALLY hate snakes. I mean, I am scared to death around snakes, I go catatonic around snakes, I start to cry around snakes. I walk around the entire zoo and avoid snakes. Short version: Not a fan of snakes.
- For not being a girly girl, I sure have a lot of shoes and clothes. It is a tad insane. But looking at my shoe collection...my mother would be so proud. :)
- Although spiders don't scare me, and I do mildly enjoy "goo-ing" them to death, it is pretty funny to watch Cyrus try to sniff them and inadvertently snort them up his nose and then sneeze for about 20-30 minutes. Does this amusement make me a bad parent? Should I try to stop him from sniffing i.e. snorting the spiders? Shouldn't he know better after 8 1/2 years.
- I got Cyrus in Sept of 2000 from a shelter outside of Boulder, CO; he was just 5 weeks old (I was only 20!!). He was the runt of the litter and much goofier than each of his siblings! While getting him, at that time, was one of the worst decisions (and spur of the moment decisions) I could have made at that point in my life - looking back, he is hands down one of the best things to has ever happened to me. He has taught me how to love deeper than I knew possible. He has taught me a sense of responsibility and selflessness I had not known. He has brought more joy, cuddling and laughter into my world and into my heart that I could have ever hoped for. Oh, and I can't deny - he raised the stakes on what grosses me out. ha ha ha
- Facebook is like crack. My iPhone is like crack. I LOVE technology and multi-tasking, and Doug will always be amused by it! (NOTE: However, I do not like crack! ha ha ha)
- If I had my life to do over again, I would have been an architect or a stand-up comedian. Although, it is important to mention that I am pretty happy with where I am and who I am. I'm just sayin'.... (But man, I would have made some cool ass buildings and funny jokes!)
- Nate and Kris are two of the best people in the world. They are great housemates and I have been able to learn a lot from them. After a series of crazy housing situations, I have been truly blessed. Both of them have taught me a lot about myself, the world, and what great people they are. I lived with Kris for over 4 years and have some amazing memories. I have lived with Nate for less than 2 months and can already imagine the kind of adventures our 'collective awesomeness' are going to bring!
