Thoughts on Boston....

-I knew it was going to be cold, but I was not prepared for New England winters to be as cold as Minnesota and even more crisp.  Yikes!

- I make eye contact, smile, say hello, hold doors open, and do all of the things my mother taught me growing up.  Apparently, in Boston, that makes people suspicious.

- There are Dunkin' Donuts EVERYWHERE, and they look at you like a freak of nature when you walk into one and order a bottle of water and an apple.

- While the mountains are still technically west, they no longer help my internal compass...I can't tell N from S from E from W anymore!

- The "T" has some interesting folk, and generally smells REALLY bad.

- Customer Service in retail is surprisingly good, they people seem pretty nice and helpful - despite all of the warnings I received.

- Although South Park, CO IS real - Quahog, RI is NOT.  :(

- Compared to these people, I do not have an accent ha ha ha

- Driving here is an insane experience - people park on the side walk, the 'two-way' streets are barely wide enough for one car, every road/street has 3 different names.
